 Ph.D. in Physics, Atmospheric Chemistry, Geographic Information Technology, Remote Sensing or equivalent training.

 Knowledge of atmospheric dispersion modelling or atmospheric chemistry.

 Knowledge of a programming language. Preferably Python, IDL or R.

 Knowledge of cartographic representation and geographic information systems.

 Remote sensing knowledge

 Experience in international projects

 High level of spoken and written English.

Additional requirements:

 Handling of satellite data for characterization of atmospheric composition.

 Experience with statistical models

 Experience in forest fire issues.

Specific functions and objectives to be performed: We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join the Environmental Remote Sensing Research Group at the University of Alcala.
